2. Information We Collect

When you use SafelyMe, we collect the following information:

• Name — your full name, collected at registration and displayed within the app.
• Account Information — your email address or phone number used to register and authenticate your account.
• Location Data — your precise GPS coordinates, collected in real time when an emergency alert is active, during travel monitoring, or when Family Tracking is enabled.
• Audio Recordings — audio captured by your device microphone during an active emergency alert.
• Video Recordings — video captured by your device camera during an active emergency alert.
• Emergency Contacts — names and phone numbers of contacts you add to your account.
• Family Member Data — location data of family members connected to your account via invite code, where sharing is enabled by them.
• Travel Details — your destination, expected travel duration, and arrival confirmation status when using the Travel Safety feature.
• Voice Trigger Phrase — the custom phrase you set to activate emergency alerts hands-free.
• Device Information — a unique identifier assigned to your device, used to manage your account and subscription.
• Payment Information — subscription payment data processed by our payment provider. We do not store your card details; they are handled securely by our payment processor.
• Usage Data — information about how you interact with the app, including subscription tier and feature usage.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the emergency alert system and deliver your location and recordings to emergency services.
• To enable Family Tracking features when you choose to share your location with family members.
• To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
• To improve the app and fix technical issues.
• To communicate with you about your account or subscription.

4. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored on secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure. Audio and video recordings captured during emergency alerts are stored and associated with your account. Location data is stored in real time and only accessible to authorised parties.

We retain emergency recordings for a limited period to allow review by emergency services. Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Monitoring Dashboard — your location, audio, and video are sent to our secure admin monitoring dashboard when an emergency alert fires. Family members in your circle receive an in-app notification.
• Monitoring Dashboard — your alert data (location, audio, video) is sent to our secure admin monitoring dashboard when an emergency alert fires.
• Family Members — your location is shared with family members you have explicitly invited via your invite code.
• Payment Processor — payment information is shared with our payment provider for the purpose of processing your subscription.
• Cloud Infrastructure — your data is stored and processed on secure third-party cloud infrastructure to deliver the service.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at info@safely-me.com.

7. Security

Your account is protected by a 4-digit safety PIN. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.

8. Children

SafelyMe is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using SafelyMe, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. SafelyMe is operated by Safelyme Limited.

2. The Service

SafelyMe is a personal safety application that provides emergency alert functionality, live GPS tracking, audio and video recording, voice trigger, family tracking, travel safety monitoring, and a fake call timer.

The app is available in two tiers: a free plan with core safety features, and a Premium plan with full access to all features.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide a valid email address or phone number to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your PIN and account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use SafelyMe.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts.

4. Subscription & Payments

• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly (₦1,500/month) or yearly (₦15,000/year).
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period. You will be charged automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from within the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain Premium access until your expiry date.
• Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.
• Prices may change with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable Use

SafelyMe is designed exclusively for real emergencies. You must not use the app for testing purposes, practice drills, or out of curiosity. Every alert sent consumes emergency response resources. Only activate an alert when you have an actual, genuine emergency.

You agree not to:

• Use SafelyMe to send false or test emergency alerts.
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose or to harm others.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the app.
• Share your account credentials with other people.
• Use the Voice Trigger or automated features to harass or intimidate others.

Accounts found to be in violation of this policy — including sending false or test alerts — may be disabled immediately and without prior notice. If you hold an active Premium subscription at the time of disabling, no refund will be issued for the remaining subscription period.

6. Emergency Services Disclaimer

SafelyMe transmits your location and recordings to emergency services when an alert is activated. However, SafelyMe is not a substitute for calling emergency services directly. We do not guarantee response times or the availability of emergency services in your area.

In a life-threatening emergency, always attempt to contact emergency services directly if possible.

7. Permissions

SafelyMe requires access to your location, microphone, and camera to function. By granting these permissions, you consent to the collection and use of this data as described in our Privacy Policy. You may revoke permissions at any time via your device settings, but doing so may limit the app's functionality.

8. Limitation of Liability

SafelyMe is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Safelyme Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including failure of the emergency alert system due to network issues, device malfunctions, or loss of GPS signal.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at info@safely-me.com.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nigeria.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
